Foray Into Screenwriting
For the last eight months or so, on and off, I’ve been writing a screenplay adaptation of ‘How to catch a Bogle’ (‘A Very Unusual Pursuit’, in Australia) with director Darren Ashton and producers Jodie Matterson and Kate Keegan. The first draft of this screenplay, which was written under the guidance of script editor Joan Sauers, was approved for Development Funding by Screen Australia late last year. I’m now working away on the second draft with the help of script editor Nicole Dade; it’s been challenging to learn a new skill at my time of life, but it’s also been incredibly exciting, and the team I work with are fantastic. As for watching movies – these days I’m doing it with a more educated eye!
