Very-Singular-Guild

‘A Very Singular Guild’ has been named as a ‘Notable Book’ in the Younger Readers category of the Children’s Book Council of Australia’s Book of the Year Awards for 2015. It’s unusual to have a sequel distinguished in this way, so I’m very chuffed.

Here is the full list of Younger Reader Notable Books, as well as the complete CBC Awards short list.

Congratulations to everyone who made both lists!

Absolutely brilliant. I listened to the first book, am awaiting my turn for the second and just discovered there were more. FANTASTIC! Until I tried to purchase my own copies. Do you know where I might find the remaining books in the series (hopefully in audiobook format) in the U.S.? Or even a site where I can download the books? I can’t wait to read them all and am sorry I couldn’t just buy them right off.

    Thanks so much!

I’m so glad you’re enjoying this series! Unfortunately, since the third book hasn’t yet been published in the U.S., the audiobook isn’t yet available either. But you can order the other two direct if you go to the ‘Catherine Jinks’ page at the ‘Random House Listening Library’ website. Or I’m sure that any halfway decent independent bookshop could order them in for you; they could certainly order print copies. Or check out the Houghton Mifflin Harcourt web page …

I had no idea that this site existed. Thank you for pointing me in this direction.

Odd that it linked to a few sites that I had already searched. One supposes that there may have been a slip of the thumb while typing your name.

Congratulations again for earning the place on this list. And you did earn it. Summer is almost here, here, and your books will be the grandkids’ summer reading. In print, of course.

Thanks for taking the time to respond, and for the introduction of the Random House Listening Library.

        Your fan,

        Rebecca

My good deed for the day! Nice to think I’ve put the Random House Listening Library together with an appreciative possible customer; a win win situation, as they say.
Enjoy your summer, Rebecca! We’re heading into winter, here …
