Thank you, Book People!

The Book People store in Austin, Texas, has just nominated How to Catch a Bogle as one of its six ‘Best Books for Young Readers’ in 2013. I’m very pleased about this because I know the store – or rather, I met some of its employees when I went to the Austin Teen Book Festival, several years ago. At that event, I probably sold more books than I ever have (or will) at a single venue – and  Book People can take most of the credit.

I was particularly impressed by the store’s literary camp program. Can you imagine how much fun it would be to spend days and days inside your favourite book? I would have KILLED for something like that, as a kid. It looks as if this year there’s going to be a ‘Ranger’s Apprentice’ camp; I remember hearing about a Hunger Games camp when I was in Austin.

You can check out the Best Books list at the Book People website and learn more about the camps on their Literary Camps page.
